I swear there was a Retro Encabulator like video for computers on Youtube where the focus wasn't a thing but a productivity software (or something like it). For the life of me I couldn't ever find it after watching it once.

As a kid, for me it was a place to find fun shareware/free games (like Hack, Rogue's son and Nethack's daddy) and chat with folks from other places in town. When I was 16-ish I built a few small BBSs (online after 10p until 8

If you just want the tech stuff, it's very sparse but I greatly enjoyed the connection between the two protagonists. It was also a nice way of teaching my wife about what the world of computers was like in the 90's.

I'll admit I bought in to Star Citizen - I am/was in a good place financially and the money spent isn't something I fondly miss. I remember the early days where Chris Roberts would say anything to folks asking for things like

I remember when it came out as a swiss army tool for videos - loved it since the first version I got (off Slashdot) and I've been using it since. Good job folks at VideoLAN! Thanks for reminding me I'm an old fart!

It's quite obvious that you have a greivence against part of the reddit user base since, as you mentioned, you have been the focus of their hate before. I appreciate your opinion on why the other subreddits were taken offline but I mus
