Yes, it is. Percentages don't mean anything in temperature unless it is Kelvin where 0 is truly 0. 1 to 4 degrees Celsius is not a 300% increase in anything but the integer representing temp. Try that in Fahrenheit or with a negative

Reading the comments here seems to indicate to me people don't know a lot about the subject areas surrounding noise like acoustics and building construction, but I think that just reflects society more broadly. The amount of investment

I tried to throw in some words like "mainly, most" to leave room for the many exceptions to my generalization, but perhaps it was a bit strongly worded. Even so, the point stands that people need a fall back plan to feel comfortab

Yeah, you can only make the furthest RAM chip in DIMM be so close to the CPU based on the form factor, and the other traces need to match that length. Distance is critical and edge connectors sure don't help.

It's mainly people with generational wealth and robust safety nets that have the choice to take a risk for higher potential earnings. For most workers the risk just is too big, the odds of success too low, based not on their merit but

I don't think your post here is substantive. You are only vaguely complaining about an ill-defined group of people, as is customary in political speech. If you wanted to discredit "numerous books" you should have named at lea

I don't think they're confused about episodic vs. serialized shows; they're talking about the plot structure of serialized shows often having a change of direction at every season boundary instead of resolution of the existi

I wouldn't go so far as to call humans robots, and I don't think compelling corporations to give out access to LLMs is reasonable, frankly. I do agree with you as far as the idea that people deserve a right to privacy that extends

I think the better starting point would be that businesses have no right to share personally identifying information about their customers (short of court orders) and the carve outs go the other way. I should then grant the "identity h

Yes. The data hoarding creates endless opportunity for abuse and only marginally improves the utility of things like advertising. The case of insurance providers having a microscope into everyone's lives is simply dystopian. As with po

I'd say they haven't been very competitive with AMD in performance per watt/dollar in the ryzen era, specifically due to process advantage. (On CPU dies especially, with less advantage for AMDs I/O dies.) I'd agree

The take away should probably be that while indoors for long periods, you should sit with a window nearby and within view, so you can focus on far away objects periodically. (I've heard 15 second every fifteen minutes or 20 every 20 as

You're right, it seems I mistook some of what you wrote as unserious. Apologies. My take on robot rights is they aren't something we need to worry much about for a long time, since robots aren't alive or anywhere close to it.

The way to do that would be with a chip & socket that has 4 independent memory channels (threadripper I think has eight now, but maybe used to have four?) and a many-layered motherboard that optimizes the routing and placement of each d

Your personal take is that of someone who hasn't been bullied or abused by officers of the law, I'm assuming. Consider that some people have, and they may want police accountability, with no desire to sow chaos.

Its extremely unlikely they would offer to open up the patent and then say "haha, fooled you!" once the law takes effect. It would do them more harm than good in the long run to lie to lawmakers & everyone else.

This is pretty true. Sawstop adds more to the cost of a low end table saw than a low end table saw is worth.
