I've been doing Karat interviews for about three years and it's been incredible for my mental health. The work is extremely flexible and there is nothing to worry about when you're not working (I dread deadlines and I'm

There are no behavioural questions, the intro bit at the start is just there to not abruptly start asking questions, help you relax a bit, and also nice in case the client wants to look at the video to find out more about you. We do insist

I've been an interviewer with Karat for 2.5yrs, it's genuinely great. https://karat.com/ I know you made the statement in jest, but trying to improve on the interview process is not a bad idea. At the very least,

The fact that the video wasn't from Technology Connections was both surprising and disappointing. Great share though! I wish ACs and heat pumps were more common in the UK, though I understand why they aren't (yet! I expect an AC i

It could've been a fantastic April Fool's release. I like to imagine that was the original intent and a manager went "eh, release it anyway".

I got the Sonos Arc, which was (a ridiculously expensive IMHO) £799, and I was expecting to be blown away after reading glowing reviews. Instead, it's just... OK. Using the app to calibrate it to the room made a big difference. I might

This is great advice. Something that somewhat helps me is thinking "you're out on a run, you've already won". Though I'm still insanely competitive and I still end up pushing myself, at least I don't care that

How do you even get the _feel_ of the device so right? I'm perplexed, such a great project. I started using it unironically to play music, I'd totally pay for a Mac/iOS app haha.

I bought it for home use because it looks so nice. Fits perfectly for the small desk in our living room. It's not as comfy as my Aeron but it's not supposed to be, it's half the price and not uncomfortable for even a ridiculo

This sounds silly but it's such valuable advice (particularly wrt weights, which I find super fun, though running is my thing). Creating a somewhat disciplined approach to working out has been the only thing (except for SSRIs) that had

I agree that it's likely not a universal experience, but I relate to this so much. I just love smoking, and if we had a way to make it safe I'd be smoking every day. I still miss it a long time after I quit, particularly when the

I finished RE8 on Stadia on launch day; it looks great on PC but for some reason it looks even better on a TV with the CCU. As someone who's put hundreds of £s and hours into Stadia, I'm quite content with it, I wish it had more g
