I live near Toronto Canada and Rogers my ISP hijack's DNS requests for non existent domains. The data to back up my bold statement is a simple Google search which reveals that they have been doing this at the very least from my Google

I am pretty sure that when iPhone connects to an access point it uses the real mac, I don't know about android but it is probably the same. Some access points need your real mac to connect because they use that to authorize you, I thin
