Nice, that's a cool use case. I like that the local model gives you more privacy when sharing potentially sensitive data like voice recordings with an LLM. I've been interested in hosting one locally, but I was curious what I woul

Yeah that makes sense. Once the model is loaded though, does it work well in comparison to the commercial models? Do you find that the local models hallucinate more, or don't give the same response quality?

> Let’s be clear. It’s going to be a long time before running a local LLM will produce the type of results that you can get from querying ChatGPT or Claude. (You would need an insanely powerful homelab to produce that kind of results). A

Docker-Compose is likely the simplest solution for your needs (assuming you have some familiarity with Docker). Your docker-compose.yml file would look something like this: ``` --- services: frontend: image: localhost/frontend:

Wouldn't using Pi-hole or Adguard work in this case without the need to install a browser extension? These solutions are also more comprehensive because they block Google Analytics for all devices throughout a network.

Yeah, it wasn't always the best experience on desktop, but on tablet and mobile, it helped small screens feel bigger and made apps feel more dynamic and organic with live tiles. The emphasis on typography was a nice touch as well. Alth

Currently: Ghost self-hosted in a container setup using a Hetzner VPS. Planned: Astro website with Ghost as a headless CMS, possibly using Obsidian or Outline wiki to draft posts and push to Ghost using an automation workflow like n8n.

Same - any idea when we'll see this? Does LibreWolf typically adopt new Firefox features quickly, or do they prefer to hold off on new feature adoption for a few releases?

Another option you could look into is a mobile VoIP app like Acrobits Softphone or Groundwire with a VoIP SIP provider like voip.ms. The apps are a one-time purchase (~$6.99-9.99 last time I checked). Toll-free calls are free and the airtim

Any plans to add a config for a Dockerfile/docker-compose.yml? This could be really useful in a self-hosted environment. If you go down this route, the ability to use something like Ollama in place of OpenAI would be a nice feature as

Would this also work with something like Plausible ( https://github.com/plausible/analytics ) which uses ClickHouse to store web analytics data, or is it primarily for log data?

I've heard of OVH, but Free Range Cloud looks like a good option as well - thanks.

Nice write-up - it's given me some options to look at for Canada-specific hosting. Are there other options you considered but didn't include in your review? I haven't heard of these providers before outside of the Linode, Dig
