Wow, this comment made me realise that his username is "dan g" not "dang". I had a mental image of him as someone who was always polite but slightly annoyed.

If they're remote boxes, you can Emacs over SSH using TRAMP. You'll take your configurations to each new server.

IndieHackers[0] worked really well for me. I wrote an article that got traction, reaching around 2.5k views, which lead to over 50k people visiting the landing page[1] in the past two months. From what I've seen, productivity tools go

I use https://www.passwordstore.org/ and ivy-pass for Emacs integration (copying and generating passwords). I use a private git repo for storage and syncing. Perfectly happy with it.

Came here to see if this was mentioned. My choice, too. Absolutely cannot be beaten, imo. I've written my own framework on top of it for things like simplified routing and static page compilation with automatic sitemap generation.

I'd love read that rebuttal. And I'd ensure that I read it in its gloriously yellow form.

This is a wildly shitty take. He, himself, is telling you that he didn't enjoy it nor did he want it. With all of the years that have passed and he still feels the same way.

Absolutely correct. Feetr doesn't invest on people's behalf at this point, it's purely stock discovery. The idea of showing the difference between the open price and the highest is that this is how much profit could've b

The best thing you can do is leave the idea that you will time it correctly. Take profit when you are comfortable. Feetr provides stocks almost every day and, to me, the goal is compound interest. The metrics are as they are because, right

Thank you very much, I appreciate that! I would offer it for free but I believe that it's immoral (and potentially illegal) for me to be able to invest in the stocks when it launches, and so I've priced it at a point that I think

Well the 4% is across all stocks. Multiple can be found per day. Sometimes none will be found. All data is 100% available on feetr.io after market close and, when it launches, Monday will be given for free on Reddit, Twitter, and to anyone

I don't know that I agree. It's an algorithm geared towards day trading so the highest price of the day is a much better metric than the close price, as you should've sold by then.

I run https://feetr.io . I do stock discovery as opposed to automated trading (at this point). Almost a year into recording stock picks, it is averaging 4.0624% per day across all stocks, and 5.9948% for the best stock of that da

To me it's the most fun language to use. When you understand it to a good degree, you stop fighting compilers and are able to focus entirely on the problem at hand.
