WhatsApp "attempted" to get NSOs export license revoked and failed. How would you expect America to stop two of their allies from dealing with each other (with a potential courtship in the works)? Especially when America itself ge

As a maintainer of a a relatively tiny "open source" project, I've been going through the same thing over the last few months. People relied on the project, ok let's go open-core 99% is free, a few obscure features requi

WhatsApp can just be considered as worldwide communications infrastructure. More important than text/calls. No way should all of that be in the control of one single (also cretinous) company. Good luck on this one America. I have low e

I don't ever merge low effort or self aggrandizing PRs. I just implement the change myself then add the PR person as a contributor on the commit via GitHub desktop.

That Reverse engineering gig looks good but my RE experience is based on WhatsApp (and more exp in android). Hijacking private APIs to build your product is pretty ballsy. Very cool.

Thanks so much for your points. I've used your suggestion and made the description clearer. I've also added non-cached examples Thanks again!

Hi thanks so much for your feedback. I've implemented better docs and have added multiple demos with and without cache. Regarding the JS embed. I implemented an svg implementation which, if used in your website, it will make the image

Sometimes a little appreciation makes contributing to open-source worth all those hours. I feel like we should wear those commendations from fellow coders as a badge of honour like an award. That's why I built this little 'widget&

I don't understand why I've been downvoted to -3 here. I'm sure if I just showed off how much I hate technology and live in a cave then I'd get lots of upvotes. Hacker news is wild.

The concept of Jupiter notebook for python was always kinda wild to me. Great that now there's an option for JS. Looking forward to using it! Great work!

This is true. I had experience in every technology in the stack except Postgres (did a lot of TSQL work back in the day but never SQL with NodeJS). After getting used to it it wasn't so bad but the unclear error messages, abstractions

I guess with experience comes the ability to correctly design the schema from day one. The project was just getting off the ground so schema was evolving constantly. If only there was such a thing as pgconfig.json which allows me to configu

thanks for the pgtyped recommendation! I guess I was just frustrated with the constant moaning from the DB side when schemas were constantly being reconsidered. JSONb to the rescue though!

I forgot to mention this was at a startup on ground level. Regular data backups always soothes my nerves. Eventually it makes sense to have type/db strictness on both app and db side however it just felt like wading through quicksand w
