I agree with what you say. The difference is that you consider a provider your adversary when it comes to the task of that control and I consider a GDPR-respecting company to be my partner in that attempt (yes, I know who Snowden is) to con

I did not say you do not deserve anonymity. I simply disagreed with the OP who laughed at a possibilty of any kind of privacy unless complete anonymity was guaranteed. While not arguing regarding the validity of the proposition above, I sim

Just today Redpanda hit HN front page https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25075739 and I cannot see how would you give a demo of such a system without having such a system developed in the first place. At the very least, t

I think I understand both viewpoints: it is indeed not feasible to fake it before you make it in case of Dropbox. However, if you are offering automated reports once a week, there is no problem putting together an HTML template, some excel

While I feel bad that you had people treat you without respect, I don't think turning issues off is a sign of a serious project that should be used by many people in production (even if the project itself is nearly a work of art). The

Exactly, I often say: yes, this seems like a valid bug report but I am currently focusing on other things at the moment, though I will be happy to review and accept a pull request if you figured out how to solve your problem. I have yet to

Great, but I would rather see a perf comparison of .NET 5/Core vs .NET 4.7 because .NET Core was a new technology that may have traded performance for features in its first versions. Similar to how JDK 14 beats JDK9..13 but still in ma

How does one invoke a Lambda function via HTTP without an AWS account (ie a public API call)? I think you are not including it in the "most workloads"?

What you are missing are the Amazon API Gateway costs. I really liked my own calculations on Lambda costs similar to yours until I figured I'd need to use API Gateway too. Edit: another thing is the amount of RAM used by functions. The

Absolutely, "Affero" MPL or "Affero" EPL license would be a great step to remain enterprise-friendly while enforcing copyleft terms even for SaaS products.

I commented on this before, but I would love to have an ALGPL license for the libraries. Has limited scope but still applies to SaaS usage. Also, for the record: if you _are_ considering LGPL, you should consider EPL or MPL license instead.
