They weren't my words, so I'm not repeating myself. Just agreeing with the point that the term "brick" is subjective. Requiring one to go to heroic measures to render their device useful would make me consider the device

It's almost like the author of the above comment (zaroth) didn't read the parent comment. Put another way, bricking is in the eye of the beholder.

It would be nice if ABCL's JDK 11 support were brought into the main repo. Speaking of which, it would be nice if the main repo moved away from SVN to, e.g., gitlab. And, while we're at it, the issue tracker could be brought into

I took Serge's class when he was on sabbatical (?) teaching at UC Berkeley back in the days of steam-powered web browsers. Was a great course but it felt like the theory wasn't _quite_ there yet to be the next big thing in databas

It's too bad there isn't a less ambiguous way to write programming language expressions with, say, prefix notation, using a single set of characters (open and close parens maybe?) to describe the tree, etc..., and getting rid of s

Apparently 18.04.2 LTS has been released, as that's what my box reports running now. I don't see any clear announcements of the actual release, but perhaps they're just hard to find on the various ubuntu wiki/planet&#x2F

I wonder if the author has tried using a low-latency or RT kernel. Setting up jack/pulseaudio/alsa isn't for the faint of heart but it's great when it all works right.
