I didn't intent to say we need to "crush" people into changing, rather the definition of our tribes should change. You know, when a president says "we gotta unite the nation" in a speech, that's kinda what they

Yes it needs "other". We can however define this "other" intelligently to encircle the negative phenomena of society and define the rest as the society we are. And hopefully it doesn't split even parents and childre

Because you still have things you're for and against. But they shouldn't be aligned along trivial lines like sports, religion and politics. And yeah I know calling these "trivial" sounds odd, but they really are.

So it's unnecessarily antagonistic, but then you proceed to agree with everything I said. Look you can't argue REST is easy by defining REST one way, then argue it's powerful and has these features by defining it another way,

The premise is quite weird, because we're not "cut out". We've evolved, and still evolving. The best thing evolution did to us is to make a lot of our behaviors learned. So how we perceive morality is something we can le

Every REST argument: - REST is standardized, because look at all the standards for it (OData, OpenAPI etc.). - REST is easy, because I don't implement any of those standards. - REST is flexible, because I don't even understand the

Yeah I got that you think they're "overly complex" but they literally have nothing to do with each other. REST is simple compared to GraphQL if you have no standards at all and just slap everything with ad-hoc CRUD resources

> So how do you fix that? Well you’ve got to do query introspection to resolve certain queries in a more optimized way. Which tends to be more complicated than just…doing exactly what you want to do via a REST endpoint. You're talki

GraphQL is a fine-grained resource protocol, and REST is a large-grained resource protocol. You don't want to serve thousands of 50 byte responses in REST just to get what you need when your app opens, this is why GraphQL allows you to

There’s almost no overlap between SOAP and GraphQL (еxcept that you seem to not be familiar with either of them). Especially odd is the "scalability" remark, given those are protocols, they have no bearing on any aspect of the &qu

In practice yeah I guess. But rewriting the document is more extensive, it might even have to be moved (because Mongo allocates certain number of bytes for it, and it might outgrow that).

You can’t test the logic without the parts that interpret the logic. Your mock will fail if I change the name of a alias in my query. A database won’t. Don’t confuse how it’s done with what is done.

It’s a memory mapped file. If you update a bool or number value it’ll rewrite just that. If you update anything else it’ll often have to rewrite the entire document due to variable size.

That means adapters and drivers are not unit testable. This differentiation is quite pointless though. If you can spawn the dependency in memory at no cost then why not. Also not using dependencies is not the point of a unit test. Almost ev

While I'm hit heavily by nostalgia looking at this UI and I actually appreciate the simplicity and utility of it, I think it would've been nice to bring it in the 21-st century by making it vector-based and scalable, so it works o
