Well, I used AirBnB in the past and have only good things to say about it, until I tried to find a short-term (month) stay in a big US city. I noticed that more and more people are using AirBnB to advertise their more expensive daily/weekl

I just wish Google had named their "mobile operating system" as Linux/Android instead of just Android, and have a "Powered by Linux" on their homepage, this way many more people would realize that they use Linux more often than they think.

Considering that this is a molecular dynamics simulation that anyone could produce at home on their computer, with some patience, I assume it will be ready in a few years after their get their grant money.

Long time ago I wrote a small program that would mimic the entry point of a DEC terminal server, slow baud rates screen refresh and all, and with the permission of the computer lab manager I installed it in a few PCs, next to the original

Most of my desktop/server computer failures or abnormal behavior are due to power supplies not working properly, even when protected by a decent UPS.

A few years ago I built a small circuit with a few low noise opamps attached to the reading head of an old reel-to-reel broken player, which had a few burned tubes. I used it to extract recordings from my family made in the 60's and conver
