Well, no, the old logo was practically not usable in marketing. Good. Then drop the marketing and start doing something useful.

If their "reset password" implementation took care to not mess up the MAC labels on edited files, disabling SELinux wouldn't be necessary. See virt-rescue(1) (and libguestfs-tools in general) for how to do it properly.

Do you have a pointer to that SELinux issue? Can't remember anything related to exceptions. I think there was some issue with runtime code generation (used with closures IIRC) very early on but that's ancient history by now.

Besides the stack size there's also the switching overhead involved when you go through the kernel. And yes, the dynamic stack growth is an extremely important part of it. Without it, you'd just have small stacks. Take an arbitrar

The Plan 9 C compilers are nice as they're so small. Still, the backend creation process would look roughly similar, at least from where I'm standing: copy a roughly similar one and beat on it for some time. The difference is in d

The problem with that is that you can't tell programmatically if a potentially risky action is performed by a program acting as the user's agent or by a program acting on behalf of some malicious fuckwit. You can just forbid it, s

In the case of FORTRAN, there already was a language standard as early as 1966. At the same time there existed implementations of it that were independent of IBM. Also, while you had to get a UNIX license from AT&T, they didn't mak

Equality is not necessarily defined for values of different types ("with different vtables", if you will). You can't just compare values of different type and expect a meaningful result.

Interface comparisons check both, the value and the dynamic type. Describing that as "comparing vtables" is misleading. It the types don't match, the operands are not considered equal. Type and value have to match for two i
