If you can find a way to generate md files from YUIDoc, then Docusaurus could consume those MD files. We have seen many examples of Docusaurus sites generating pages from code comments, GraphQL or OpenAPI schemas For example here's a p

IMHO Rust is useful for its speed. Many frontend tools use Rust today (like swc, napi-rs...). We are willing to include Rust in Docusaurus in the future (alongside Node.js), as it can help to build the static doc site faster. BTW our docusa

This is not really comparable to Docusaurus: your thing is a little toy to publish documentation online but not really useful to create a great advanced and looking doc site. Just consider this: your tool requires client-side JS to work. Th

Yes, and that's exactly the value proposition of Docusaurus. You just write markdown files. Eventually you create a custom landing page with React (optional, we also support a Markdown landing page). If you want to customize your site

Thanks for the feedback Agree Docusaurus might be overkill for simple docs, however we also made sure the experience for simple usage is great. It comes with file-system routing convention, versioning, accessibility, internationalization, g

With Docusaurus we are looking to compete with top notch documentations, not simple ones. The goal is not only to get some html files online but also to great a first-class experience for the end user. Do you truly believe that your home-ma

As the Docusaurus site maintainer, I believe MkDocs is great (and probably simpler) but our plugin system is more powerful, MDX/React makes it easier to make the docs interactive, and we have more flexibility for theming. See the carou

Why wouldn't you want to run JS outside of a browser? That looks like rejecting Node.js for Python. I also think MkDocs is great (and I'm the Docusaurus maintainer), and probably even simpler, but IMHO Docusaurus is more flexible

Docusaurus maintainer here Yes we like MDX and live code blocks to embed natively runnable code in your page. I don't like the idea of loading a remote iframe much (at least for most cases using JS). The StackBlitz / WebContainer

You can embed doc generated by other tools in a Docusaurus site, as a plain page or an iframe. Some people embed Javadoc, OpenAPI or Redoc in Docusaurus. You can also generate md to make that doc native. I've seen people generating doc
