I use emacs 29 beta right now and that is just not how it works. For example for elixir you just install elixir-ts-mode like any other package, answer yes to the prompt to install the elixir ts library, and you’re done. Even that setup step

That sounds like a deficiency of browsers, not of URLs. Browsers can already make arbitrary HTTP requests, and there are some rudimentary ways to expose this in hypertext (such as forms or XHR), but there’s nothing stopping a browser from l

We actually run into the query limit problem super often where I work. User-facing search pages for very complicated data models create very complicated URLs quickly.

I’m pretty sure most browsers have fairly low limits for uri length.

We already have a format to identify an entire request including verb and headers. It’s called HTTP.

Boring?? My MR2 Spyder is anything but! The newer Supras and now GR Corolla also seem pretty exciting to me. Toyota is also (one of) the last manufacturer still making mid-sized trucks with manual transmissions.

In fact I’d say gpg is even more singularly useful than git. Git has competitors which are superior to it in nearly every way; gpg does not, and likely won’t.

My 2001 is definitely the sweet spot. A double DIN standard radio slot so I can keep up with the latest features in infotainment and GPS, but purely mechanical interactions for literally everything else.

This is a false dichotomy, no? Driving somewhere for 30 minutes means you waste 30 minutes of your life in transport. Taking a train somewhere for 50 minutes means you can do something else for 50 minutes. Read a book, browse the internet,

I see this line repeated a lot, especially in Zig spaces, but it doesn't really make sense to me. Rust is an excellent replacement for C, even though it has more features. What makes C the language of choice for so many applications is

I used a G700S for nearly ten years, only got rid of it because a decade of human use caused it to get pretty gunked up. I never had a mechanical failure in that whole period.
