On macOS there's also Meta[0] which I found better than mp3tag. You can also always use builtin Music.app for organization + tagging. I've been using it (or iTunes before) to manage my local music library for 10 years now and it&#

My only problem with all thing plain text is I need cross-platform sync cuz I write on both my phone and laptop. For these I use Simplenote which has served me super well, but still looking for solutions where I can actually write plain tex

I find most ergonomic to write file manager as a vim plugin, I can just open things directly as buffers, only need to hit one key to toggle between file editor and file manager.

You don't need a xcodeproj at all for a pure C macOS application (or do you need it 10 years ago? I see the last commit is 10 years)

Sounds like they fetch the JS code from the url and embed those code in the HTML, but doesn't have a JS engine to execute those JS.

I used to only do single file HTML pages too, until I have a page that have multiple occurrences of the same image, it's wasteful to have the dataurl string every time that img occurs. Maybe I can save the dataurl string in JS once and

I think React (hooks) invents a convoluted solution to a problem that can be solved in a more direct way, and there's a lot of big caveats hidden behind the interface that can cause big performance problem and bug. Their invention also

I think UI = f(state) can only be 100% true in immediate mode UIs? That you can literally have a pure function that takes state and user input and returns a pixel buffer to put on screen. That seems not possible for retained mode UI, which

It sounds like limitations of egui / Rust instead of immediate mode GUI. I've made flexbox-like layout systems in immediate mode GUIs and found them far easier than retained mode, since everything is redrawn every frame.

You need to invent and build non-trivial systems to compile JSX, while you only need a couple lines to make a mithril.js style hyperscript h() without the need for a compiler, and you get variables, loops / array maps etc for free sinc
