Not OC, but I burn through searches trying to chase down stacktrace errors. We're going through a big upgrade off of JDK8, so there's a lot of random queries.

Instant upgrade from the $5/mo plan to this. My biggest complaint about Kagi was that (artificial) ceiling looming over my head at 500 searches per month. Now, I can finally switch my work computer over to using Kagi and have zero wo

My only worry is random searches, where I default to a "free" bang (!g, !b, etc.) to not burn through one of my paid searches. I know it's a mental thing, but it's still a thing.

Hah - I like this. We're releasing two (massive) underperformers. One of which you can hear him playing games in the background on VOIP calls. The other is almost definitely not working - both are closing maybe a single task a month,

One of the huge pain points I was responsible for was certification of certain payment terminals. Meaning, hardcoded PANs (personal account numbers) written to magnetic stripe cards (or, worse, EMV chips) that have to make physical contact

by slipperlobster 3y ago
That's really interesting. I worked in PCI (payment cards industry) and we had terminals we could relay the ISO8583 messages through, eventually opting to emulate via software for obvious reasons. Always so cool to hear about this sor

What's the best way to use this bookmarklet in Firefox? Nevermind, I'm dumb. Just create a new bookmark and post the raw contents of the file into the URL field.

I'm a recent Kagi subscriber. Glad to see there's a generally positive reaction to this. I'm still trying to break the anxiety of "I only get a certain amount of searches per month" but I am glad to be a part of t

If you're near Asheville, Atlanta has an annual, weekend-long pinball convention called Southern Fried Game Expo. Highly recommended.

Sure, but everything I've seen in the 4 figures range is MUCH older than I'm looking for or needs MUCH more work than I would like to put in for my first table. Every year, I go to an annual pinball convention in my area. The tab

All of what you said is absolutely why ePinball won't ever feel the same. It's a shame - with the price of a "real" machine being 5 digits (USD), I can't ever see myself owning one.. but damn, I want to.

I assume the statement was geared towards those who do not prefer working in-office. No need to force RTO for those willing to (or already did) return to the office.

Oh my god, yes. It's like most online content has to be communicated in crappy memes, sarcastic quotes, and weird existential dread responses. It drives me insane.

I drive a lot more than I bike (leisurely, for exercise) and my personal hangup with the argument is that drivers are to treat cyclists as vehicles, but cyclists don't even want to act like vehicles. Stop signs are just that - road si

I know (and use) vim regularly, it's more typing ergonomics.

What's weird is I'm not a hunt-and-pecker, I've got some weird claw grip thing going on and I can still type ~95+wpm with minimal errors. I think I just need to consciously force myself to reset to home row (or something). H
