The File, Edit, etc menus on macOS are much more clear interface than most applications I've used on the iPad. macOS is undeniably more powerful - It's the truck versus the sports car in the analogy. But macOS is much much more st

Absolutely. IMO this exacerbates the existing problem. That said, if the app supported changing your vote later on, it could be preferable to the mail-in solution.

Beyond the security implications (which are huge and ought to be a deal breaker on their own), this seems to have a huge problem in that it's not private. Your abusive spouse/boss/dealer could tell you that they want to see y

In the interests of public good, the US government ought to mandate a charging standard that all electric cars use, and force all charging stations to use that. You don't need to go to special BMW gas stations. In the same way we don&#

As I understand, if you turn off Location Services entirely, it already disables this. Having a toggle to disable it individually is a net improvement though.

I've read about people removing the modems from their Teslas in the past. Have they updated the software such that this isn't possible?

Apple does not prohibit the GPL. Some people such as the FSF say it is incompatible, but Apple isn't stopping people from publishing GPL apps. That's why Signal added a rider which explicitly allows their app on the App Store - So

I don't particularly like a centralized model either. Federation is much more difficult, but can create ecosystems which can survive longer/better than a single company can. But on the specific issue of phone numbers as ID, they
