Had the same issue trying to open an IBM cloud account recently. After submitting my CC info the system told me to get in touch via email, and after contacting them they wanted two official documents (Driver’s License and Passport) to be su

Congrats on shipping! Suggestion: make it available as a 1-click install on DigitalOcean marketplace.

Half a billion/year from Google is hardly underfunded. Maybe if they used this money better they wouldn't have to kick 250 engineers last year.

Gmail was behaving exactly like that for me for a couple of months. There was a huge HN thread of people with the same issue and that might have made someone at Google to fix finally the issue.

My guess is that they don't have to pay rights for the podcasts, so for them it's a win/win if you spend your attention on their app listening to free content.

Once a database has been tunned, why would people keep paying for the service?

Do you have any friends that might have used any FB app? If so, chances are high they uploaded their contact list and FB has your name and phone number.

I had no issues, maybe they're better now? People said the same about DO and I haven't had any issues with them as well.

The [3] resource is fantastic! Have you tried sponsoring rclone? I was studying their docs last week, and I'm sure people reading the docs are interested in this use case of moving between clouds without using their own bandwidth.

Scaleway also provides a similar service. Had an issue recently (deleted a bucket, and couldn't create another bucket with the same name) and their support replied back in minutes .

I'm curious: can you can undo the obfuscation of JScrambler and Obfuscator.io easily? Some time ago I tried to run both through Closure Compiler, but it was way harder than I thought would be.

They should spend their money paying more engineers then, instead of laying off 250 people last year and upping bonuses for the C-level staff.

Users are not always stupid. Firefox was really crap on OS X back in the day, for instance.
