Nesting in your primary data store is an anti-pattern for information workloads where you need to ask questions against your data Consider: { "name": "Sam", "age": 12, "friends"

If you've spent years compiling your code and running it or changing it and pressing f5 or changing it and hoping hot code reload does the right thing it won't be apparent why a REPL in process would be helpful If you've spen

Fulcro in the CLJS world solved this by generating the graph query based on what's currently in the component tree, if you take react components out of your view your query automatically adjusts to remove the components requirements fr

I might need to look at Crux again for my prospective it was missing pull syntax and schema on write But reading from this thread that documents are converted into EAVT for every attribute? Sounds interesting

Is a heftier compile step totally fine? The biggest difference between PHP and Java in my mind is that you start Java and pay the compile cost on server start, in PHP you pay the compile cost on every request, frameworks and language featur

When considering Clojure like this it's important to remember that Clojure has many runtimes It is designed to be hosted, so, a lot of the above doesn't apply equally for ClojureScript (as one example)
