I could have done with them not removing the perfectly functional and reliable Apple Watch support that I paid for just to update their app to shove ads about other products in my face. I spent too much on this setup to get spammed and lose

I regularly do sessions of 8 hours and just making sure that I move around a lot in my playspace helps a lot. My legs will be pretty tired by the end, because it's still standing for 8 hours, but it's helped a ton with the foot pa

Freedom was long bought and paid for, this is just a natural consequence of not reigning in corporate power.

Any good account scrubber for reddit will edit your comment to some pre-defined text before deleting it, shreddit is no different.

Uneddit and Reveddit, at least, do not archive comments deleted by the user that posted them. They archive comments deleted by moderators and admins.

This tracks for me as well. Very quickly, you start having to manage 10, 15, 20, or more places where data in a store is being manipulated from outside the store and it quickly becomes unmanageable on anything beyond a toy-sized application

Some companies already do a credit check on you during hiring, even if you're not handling money. It's already here and three private companies get all the say. It also disproportionately affects low earners, who are also more lik

ytp-dl is also many, many times faster than the original, in my experience. youtube-dl is almost unusable for mass downloading by comparison.

This is a much better idea, if you ask me. It also automatically adjusts for variable length runs of the washer or dryer. Very clever.

I never know how long my washer of dryer is going to take. An event-based alert system seems way more reliable and convenient to me.

ytp-dl seems to work fine, and is faster than youtube-dl.

It seems to just be a simulated delay and should probably mention that if that's the case. Running the first example locally does indeed attempt to send a network request when clicking the edit button.

It's depressing for the same reason why the military getting pushed onto people as a way to afford college, and the way that frequently works out in reality, is depressing.

A service that alleges to support open source projects and developers deciding to block VPN users sure seems like an interesting choice.

The service also completely blocks VPN users with a 403. That seems like blocking a pretty good chunk of your target audience to me. I will absolutely be looking elsewhere to support projects I benefit from.

Because if there was something more concrete to offer that isn't done better, either from them or from the firm they represent, they'd go with that instead.

I would love to stop using SMS-based 2FA, but nobody really has any agency in that decision if a service they rely on doesn't care to switch away.

The obvious result of an aggressively for-profit healthcare system: aggressively squeezing profit out of everything it can and let then let the doctors take all the heat for it.
