The only reason they can’t make a “regular” law is because they made a law spelling out the process. Their power is restricted because they passed a law in the past saying it was restricted. As the only body capable of updating the text of

Have you ever seen a muscle car in the snow? A big engine in a car is practical for nothing except having fun. That’s why my car has 300hp and my next will as well. But I don’t pretend I’m saving the environment or that it’s practical.

The OS implements brk under the hood with "swiss cheese virtual memory" so you don't get any real optimizations here. On AMD64 paging is mandatory. It does have a cost but the MMU hardware accelerates this to make it mostly

While you can build it that way it is not at all a good way to do it. You lose all the benefits of paging when handling fragmentation - you basically will never be able to shrink the data segment on most practical programs - and therefor

> Congress can't make a law overriding the Supreme Court Indeed they can, the Supreme court merely interprets the law. If congress decides to change the law then the Supreme Court's interpretation is moot. These days changing

brk does grow linearly (a holdover from the days of segmentation). But malloc may well allocate chunks of virtual memory for large allocations. Windows doesn't have a brk equivalent and the underlying heap is fully implemented via Vi

This may not apply to your case but a lot of these conference immigration issues come from getting paid to speak. Depending on how you phrase it the inspector may treat it as “work” which is a big no-no.

Not many people I know drive - simply to avoid the aggravation. GO service is amazing if you are on the Lakeshore line, and pretty good on others as well. But property prices are much higher close to stations.

Vancouver is just a smaller city. Your instincts didn't work well for you when picking your current housing. Reasonable commute times are a huge factor in picking housing out here.

I was in a line at immigration in an airport when the fire alarm went off. Everyone pretended it wasn't happening. I remember thinking everyone in here is dead if its real - Imagine the stampede that would form.

I disagree with Hunter S. Thompson's portrayal. You'll have to forgive me for paraphrasing, "a political monster straight out of Grendel and a very dangerous enemy". Which I find extreme. But Thompson was great at gran

Lack of soft skills can be managed around, albeit not as easily in this age of open plan offices. Andy Warhol was a self proclaimed asshole, but I still would have hired him for an art installation.

If your only examples are 25+ years old then the question becomes why are there no contemporary examples for this supposedly common phenomena. Its not a good rhetorical tactic. Nor is insulting other participants in the conversation.

It’s incumbent on you to make your point with contemporary examples or heavily explain why old ones are needed (and even then it severely weakens the point). I too was extremely confused with your examples. Sure there should be charity in r
