Not the best article - if it’s a myth why does Senator Warren need to introduce new legislation?

At times I’m annoyed they don’t update it. But given the modern idea of “updating” is to remove functionality and add white space I’m thankful.

I like to know how well the author understood the problem. Unfortunately git allows people to rewrite history and hide the guess+check process many go through.

If it’s possible for the string to not be in the set then you have to look at all chars. Otherwise there are some cases you can skip characters. I generally don’t use this optimization when writing Tries because it’s tricky and rarely make

I think the main difference is that in University your assignments have negative economic value. Even doing an oil change is beneficial work to the company, but in University you need to pay a TA to spend time grading your essay which has

This is only a problem with the West. The East does not have a culture of laziness. They will simply take the mantel if we falter. Just because the West is no longer hungry doesn’t mean that nobody is.

I mean they already say your not secure if you don’t use OneDrive. Nobody complained then - so why not further abuse “security” features.

Thanks. I'd heard the rumors but no confirmation. It's sad to hear he's gone. The development world has gotten too corporate, in the 90s/00s you could be different. He's a holdout from that era.

A randomly stopping car is dangerous even to people who aren't tailgating. A human would be charged with dangerous driving for that - which is a felony in my jurisdiction.

Not hilarious if you are stuck with ancient 7 series parts as the only cost effective option. They just recently graced us with a Spartan 7 that uses the same die as their artix parts with the gigabit transceivers not bonded out. How gene

Instructions were never removed from 32-bit mode though. You can run your 32-bit programs the same as before, even on today's most modern processor. You just won't get any of that 64-bit goodness.

I found it horrifying. Finally legitimate proof of the fifth estate fighting the elected politician. Beaurocrats always had their own aims, but the fact they feel comfortable saying so it's a huge step towards autocracy. I don't l

BCD instructions are slower than emulating them with more traditional operations and were rarely used in 32-bit software (16-bit is a different story). Most people would recompile their software and never experience this as an issue. The r

This is both true and highly misleading. In X64 mode many instructions were gone. However you couldn't execute a 32-bit program directly in that mode anyway so it was the least of your problems. Everything was still there in 32-bit mod

FETs weren't desirable at the time though - which is why they didn't attain widespread use. Its very difficult to get linear behavior from a FET and at that time the primary use of the devices was analogue in linear mode. The BJ

Having to do work that is not fun is an important life skill. Children should have lots of play time, but "work" needs to be understood. You do it even if you don't like it because nobody else will do it for you.
