Ah, so easy! Only 28 steps filled with remote Linux shell commands, certificate creation, and downloaded software! I'm sure that's exactly what his wife wanted to hear when she asked how to avoid being Firesheeped. Whatever happened to good

This certainly made me giggle a bit, but I wouldn't define using FBConnect, pulling user data and pushing updates to be fully surrendering. Fully surrendering would be more like MySpace outsourcing the social networking to FB. In the meanti

Not to mention the purchase was allegedly laden with government kickbacks and various forms of corruption.

Hi sir, big fan here. Was just wondering when you'll be coming out with a mapper for everything else on craigslist ?

"All 20 of the males observed masturbated to ejaculation and consumed the ejaculate." I genuinely don't understand either point.

This. I think utility goes waaaaay down without being location-centric.

Would love to know why this is downvoted. Thought I was asking a legitimate question ?

Wow, random. Would love to hear from someone on the economics of this. Where does the money come from ? Facebook's taxes that would otherwise have been paid to the government ?

Holy. Shitballs. My hat's off to this man. Perhaps the thing I envy most here is the fact that this guy's achieved this doing what he loves. According to his personal page, he's been building games for many, many years, and has entered doze

Meh. I don't consider myself sexist but I had a similar reaction as the author of the comment you replied to. This is the first time I've read something this profoundly insightful and moving about the music industry, and Courtney Love is th

Just curious, what does "re-launches" mean here ? It certainly doesn't look like you guys are pivoting away from Zencoder, since the overlap between the two seems minimal. This is a side-project, correct ?

Thanks to all three of you for the insights. It's amazing how strange something can appear when interpreted in a different social or cultural context.

Crazy. To what end, food on the table ? This would also imply the children took guns to school. Am I the only one who finds this rather insane ? Also, if you happen to have any links on the matter I'd appreciate it.

Awesome read, though Jefferson seems to have suffered from the "these are facts because I said so" type of thinking. Here are some relevant quotes: "Sitting up late at night is injurious to the health, and not useful to the mind." "G

I think your whole post argues against you. Craig was a developer. Whether he was good or not is irrelevant, but he knew enough to write a prototype. He had (and arguably still has) little business skills. If he hadn't been a developer, the

I think a more accurate mentality is if you build it they CAN come. I'm fully aware that the act of building itself means nothing, so let's not make this all black and white. What I meant is that learning how to email bloggers, use adwords,

Did you know that clicking on the item in the list pane opens the eBay item page ? But yeah, I'll make browsing the map-side a little more intuitive and have it popup images on the left hand side.

Thank you for the constructive criticism :) #7 - there's a checkbox for that called Show Auctions, maybe I should rename it. #6 - what do you mean show you the eBay link ? I'll look into the others.

It's only a distraction if you can recognize it, which slots you into a pretty miniscule percentage of the population. That said, I realize the responsibilities of being in the public view, but right now the site is hardly in anyone's view,
