Don't you have the same problem in classical mechanics? Let's say you're standing at the edge of a pond, and you see waves rippling across the surface. The deviation in height of the surface of the water is described by h = c

What difference does -ggdb make vs -g? I see it does extra 'tuning' of the debug output for GDB [1], but it's unclear what effect that might actually have. [1]: https://clang.llvm.org/docs/UsersManual.htm

What are the common applications for these sorts of GPU-accelerated FFTs? We mostly just solved problems analytically in undergrad, and the little bit of naive coding we did seemed pretty fast. I feel like this must be used for problems I w

Qt hasn't broken binary compatibility since the release of Qt 5.0 in 2012. The last one before that was the release of Qt 4.0 in 2005. It's a very impressive standard they set out for themselves (and met). https://wiki.

A handshake agreement could very well be a valid, binding contract if certain conditions are met. I would be very cautious about backing out of such an agreement without talking to a lawyer. (And it's a pretty bad look to go back on yo
