Thanks a lot. I agree copper will probably not last long but maybe some HDPE flexible pipe would work.

Vey interesting but again will the same amount of core and memory result in the same amount of transaction per seconds? How can we easily know what is the optimal number of CPU core and Memory needed to achieve X Transaction per seconds ? I

there is less context switches because you cant write some data to several distinct file descriptor using a single system call. You can also read data from several file descriptor in a single System Call. This way you significantly reduce

Goroutine are very different from thread in practice. you don’t have to pay the memory usage and context switch cost you would have if using large amounts of threads. It’s also faster to do IO processing from a single thread in batch instea

I agree with you. I guess the best solution would be something in between “await” and goroutine. My understanding is the main issue with “await” model is that you only abstract The Task model. Running task don’t gave a real ID and stack li

I am a big fan of rust but I don’t think the Async using the ”await” keyword or using Future/promis is the way to go. I wrote a large web app in scala using Futur only and it turned into a monster because of it. Even if you don’t use c

Calling a remote function is exactly the same as calling a service in both case you are doing an RPC. While doing a Rest service is more work, using something like GRPC or java RMI is not and also support pub-sub mechanism and give you have

If you need a request/response model (ex: query some data) and not simply queue an operation to execute later without waiting for it. I agree (worker/queue) are the wrong solution. But you should use a multi-language RPC framewor

I think AWS and GCP both provide a better custom time synchronisation system. This is not a deal breaker because CRDB could be configured with larger time drift tolerance. So maybe I am missing something!
