Are you dead set on paying out directly? Internet communities always get worse when there's money involved. It will be a constant fight between moderation and clickbait. People will make it their job to game the system. You could, in

What is it about creative projects that tricks otherwise rational people into inventing unfounded characterizations of their creators? There's not one sentence in the entire article to suggest Quijada thinks that way.

Wow, this is a great interview. I didn't think I'd read the whole thing but I couldn't stop. What a candid and touching account of a person becoming themself.

Correct according to whom? The language you speak is the result of thousands of years of casual communication by billions of human beings. Precriptivism of a living natural language is hubris. What seems like perfect English to you is not p

ADHD is a blessing and a curse. Anything you don't enjoy doing becomes very difficult, and it takes a lot of conscious effort to turn doing those things into habits so they'll stick. However, people often ignore that there is an

I spent all my time online, barely passed high school, and skipped college to start my career. School doesn't work for everyone! If your kid has the space to freely explore his interests, I bet anything he'll be fine.

No, it doesn't. Having grammar down but a very loose grasp of semantics, with no apparent intent or personality, doesn't look like thought.

The second playlist is great, thank you! As someone with near zero math knowledge, it was very exciting learning that imaginary numbers are a beautiful and intuitive concept. Really makes me want to start playing with frequency domain stuff

I think (?) that would work as long as your circuit is more negatively charged than your battery and has enough capacitance to keep current flowing- you just have to discharge it later. Maybe with a second, negatively-charged battery...

Maybe, but analog components can really "color" audio. Filtering, resonance, ringing, slew- when you have devices that respond slowly and nonlinearly to DC voltage you get all sorts of effects on an AC signal. The most reliable wa

This seems like a very effective way to dismiss people that don't share your background. Also, not speaking basic English does not make one an idiot, there are actually quite a few other languages in the world.

Except maybe your 2 was previously stored in the LossyNumber(TM) format which can only approximate integers, and it turned into 2.033. You add 8 to it, send it to me in a less lossy encoding, and I see 10.033. My knowledge of LossyNumber a
