Nice! Why not create a different protocol then if they're not yet compatible? Adoption for a browser-based p2p streaming tool should be seamless. If the only problem is BitTorrent integration, go your own way. ps: your site seems down.

I know a lot of "software" solutions are being discussed in this thread for greater anonymity, but I would personally simply opt for a more secure physical solution. Such as hosting the server somewhere that doesn't require y

Why rely on third-parties when you could use bitcoin:1JZuM9qKaeAuDpepigSMmNvBzsAgTavqLB URIs instead? Or you could use your own trusted server with things such as: bitcoin:roger@yourserver.org

Satoshi wrote this in the original Bitcoin paper, which logic I think still holds today: If a greedy attacker is able to assemble more CPU power than all the honest nodes, he would have to choose between using it to defraud people

Yes because I get bored easily and having a degree would give me more flexibility to switch back and forth between industry and academic jobs. Right now I'm stuck in industry.

Actually Ripple's consensus algorithm can be used for a variety of different applications, the ones you would think to build using Bitcoin's blockchain. Because Ripple solves the double-spending problem without the need of mining

What is the reason for Satoshi wanting to remain anonymous? The others (hashcash, bitgold, b-money creators) didn't seem to bother with anonymity. This is why I highly doubt Satoshi is actually a pseudonym.

Consider that even with zero confirmations, with enough clients validating and relying the transaction, it's pretty hard for an attacker to propagate a double-spend for that transaction. This is where the big mining pools are actually

Personally I believe that software design is a highly subjective art. People that are meant to maintain a piece of code are different. Some may be more creative and less pragmatic, others may be more structured and clean in their design. Th

I think that's the whole point of firewalls, to control incoming and outgoing connections. So peer-to-peer sometimes is simply impossible. TURN actually is just a proxy as far as I know so it's not p2p. That's why BitTorrent

Isn't it just a matter of time that someone will make ASICs also for X11? To me any type of algorithm can eventually be implemented in an ASIC. Perhaps some algorithms take longer than others, but it's just a matter of time.

The RDF scene is much more mature nowadays. You could simply get an RDF dataset and start analyzing using a large variety of tools. No need to configure/fix/tune anything. It would be as simple as doing the tables JOIN of your exa

The difference is in the details. You could combine several CSVs and you could probably come up with a bunch of rules that would make data integration easier. But then you'd be reinventing exactly the triples model. And it's diffe

That's a huge misconception. XML has nothing to do with RDF. It's merely a serialization. Please take a look at JSON-LD, it's another serialization of RDF. Or perhaps Turtle which is more human-readable. Or HDT which is a b
