I can personally confirm that I used to have a strong correlation between skipping breakfast and obesity. Back when I used to eat a big pizza at 11 pm followed by some beer I could never eat the next morning because I was still full, so I s

Where I live (in a dense German city) there wouldn't even be space at the roadside to install charging points; even the street lights are attachted to the houses because there was no space left. I have the same situation at work, so pe

It's very easy to rename (or symlink) the piwik.js script to something else that is not blocked by any filter list. And unless you're a major site nobody will bother creating a special rule just for your self-hosted Piwik.

My main problem with Apple Maps has always been that it just shows too little information on the screen, exactly what the author now criticizes about Google Maps. That doesn't seem to have changes with the current Apple Maps.

The total number of reported crimes means nothing, there might just be a whole lot of minor crimes reported. It's mainly the number of crimes with your personal safety affected which make you feel unsafe.

In Germany I get unfiltered internet, freedom of speech and still always feel safe. It doesn't really have to be a choice between freedom and safety, both together is possible.

You just don't want to use Clementine on a laptop if you value your battery life. I tried to use Clementine for a while, but on my MacBook it was using 20-30% CPU just for playing a simple MP3, where iTunes could manage with 2%.

When I went full-time Python in 2013 I directly started with Python 3. The new version of Python actually has a very healthy ecosystem, just about every good library supports it. By now the lack of Python 3 is actually a very good filter wh

Here in Germany it's more common to have 1 GB for $10 per month. So more or less the same price you pay per GB, but not many people can justify paying >$100 per month for a mobile plan. I also have to manage with 1 GB data per month

Are you sure it's a 2012 Air? Because I have one and with a brand new battery and light use you maybe get 7-8 hours battery life out of it. The 2013 Air with the Haswell CPU is the one which gives you far more than 10 hours of battery

Arq's author has said on Twitter that the B2 API doesn't support all commands Arq needs, so even if B2 support was planned (which it isn't) it wouldn't be possible yet: https://twitter.com/arqbackup/
