Look, with all due respect we're not blind to it. I'm sure Oracle Linux is a fine piece of software, I bet it's just as good as RHEL and I'll even spot you that your support team is equally good as Red Hat's. We do not have technical objec

For a large segment of us (presumably the target market) there's no point in Oracle trying to recover their image. Based on direct personal experience I will fight tooth and nail against giving Oracle one red cent or one idle second. I can'

That's what a stop loss order does , it gets you out of your position regardless of the price. When P&G was dropping like a stone there was no way to know if the market was going to go straight back up or straight down. If it hadn't be

I just moved the last three of my domains from them. All oddball things like .ws and .name that I'd just been too lazy to find an alternate for but this is just enough motivation to do the authorization code dance. I wish I could have sent

It would provide the correct result of the algorithm which should be enough. Useful is outside the scope of patents (AIUI, IANAL).

Not having looked at the avi container format why would you say it's impractical? Certainly a 'normal' sized avi would be impractical but what about a 10x10 grid of pixels? The algorithm is unchanged, why should the size of N matter?

Yeah, this is patently (ha) absurd. I can't think of an algorithm off the top of my head that isn't feasible to do manually for small values of n.

Good points but I think the answer is to pick one (I'd vote #4 but I'm open to debate) and enforce it at a regulatory level. Issues arise when you're allowed to change how you value assets based on what's most favorable at the time.

PyPy tries to move as much code as possible out of C and into (R)Python for the exact reason that this kind of optimization becomes possible/feasible/easier with JIT. So it's a packaging win sure but it's not an accidental one.

Flippancy aside I'd say if good coders aren't reviewing your code you have a good chance of being a shitty programmer. Open source is a great way to achieve that but certainly code review is prevalent in other places.
