Agree with the above, fabulous learning tool. A theme that often dominates is small mistakes deep paid for with blood and treasure at usurious interest rates. I also recommend Admiral Cloudberg. https://admiralcloudberg.medium.co

I suspect the point is that we're trapped with the knowledge. You can't opt out of nuclear weapons.

Yeah for those who wish to go deeper Stumpf’s Minuteman and Titan histories are good resources as well. There is also the Effects of Nuclear Weapons.

I recommend Rhodes’ “Making of” and Dark Sun with American Prometheus and the Los Alamos Primer for people seeking a thorough initial introduction to the Manhattan Project and little bit of postscript. Indulging myself a bit here. Essential

The perimeter security element is often overlooked. You’ve got a lot more very valuable assets to secure. In the European (particularly Nordic ) scenario it’s really not implausible that special operations teams could be dispatched to hunt

This is an issue I care deeply about as I believe effective dispersal is a useful conventional deterrent to conflict. To add - this is a more trodden upon path than many realize. The RAF trained extensively on establishing dispersed airfiel

This is a heartening affirmative use. The negative of this image, creating biological warfare agents with extraordinary virulence and/or infectiousness is terrifying. Not really sure who would or how to begin reducing those risks.
