Not sure if this is a joke or not. What makes you say this? Is there any reason they would do that?

Doesn’t have to replace an SWE. 10x-ing the ability of 1 engineer is a good enough win. Soon that will be 20-100x. Feels odd to dismiss such a huge breakthrough by saying it’s still not as good as the pinnacle of AI (general AI). Just becau

My personal experience has been bad enough to not want to use it again. First CCS cable I plugged in was broken or something because it would keep erroring out before charging. This is after 1+ min of using their app to connect to it each t

Hopefully no one is using lambda for connection health checks. An empty static page on a CDN is probably a better use of resources. But yeah, at that point just ping google since they’ve spent millions on availability.

Why pay for bandwidth when you can make Google take the cost? I don’t agree with it but I’m sure it saves a few dollars.

Yeah, Amazon has the worst benefits for big tech. They started “considering” improving things before the economy was going down but seems like all that stopped. It’s more in line with “traditional” companies. Amazon is going more down the I

Coinbase is terrible. I’ve tried signing up and they won’t let me because they’ve tagged my SSN with fraud but won’t tell me why. CS is nonexistent. But it’s okay, thanks Coinbase for helping me avoid you. Terrible company and service.

This isn’t that different from US 401k vesting. Like Amazon has a 3 year vesting period for 401k matches. If you leave before then, you lose all the matched funds but keep your direct contributions. Not sure why this is news other than tryi

If Tesla doesn’t, people would do dumb stuff and the government would end up playing parent. But that said, it’s fine. People who feel that way should not buy a Tesla or, if they do, don’t use AP. Free market and all that.

Driver was obviously not paying attention. How does someone notice their car braking significantly and not just press the accelerator to counter it? AP will disengage the brake at that point. I think it’s made extremely clear that you need

Wouldn’t even say games division. They’re part of an acquired studio, Zenimax (parent company of Bethesda), that runs pretty independently. While the headline is technically correct, it’s obviously clickbaity. Saying Zenimax QA engineers ar

This already exists in the US. All of the “PR news” sites are just paid PR releases. They make the product/company look good while spreading it over many sites to boost SEO and recognition but would also cover this.

It gives you another split second to recover. If you aren’t expecting it or just don’t have the body control for it, you’ll probably still go down.

No way on the tail. That’s the best way to emergency stop. I can’t argue that fangs on the front could be safer but most riders I see would probably not recover a nose dive with them.

DoorDash takes up to a 30% cut even on pick up orders. Pretty rough deal for restaurants that have to use that service to survive. Just makes the costs go up for the rest of us.

Seems like you’re working with a PM who thinks agile is an excuse to release bad software. MVP should still solve a customer pain point. To play devils advocate though, maybe case 1,2,3 are low enough risk to release. Having metrics set to
