"Just reboot it" is 1000x more polished than having to jump into the terminal or reinstall your OS (both of which are 100% inaccessible to the average user). Troubleshooting can be done by googling your issue on Windows whereas Li

I get around it by working on things for me and me alone and publishing them as an afterthought for anyone that would seek them out. I make the tool that I want to use and make the game that I want to play. This has had way better reception

This is often parroted and almost never true. US courts will not kill one of the biggest and most well-recognized companies in the world because of one tiny corner supermarket.

You're absolutely right. As we all know, the perfect must be the enemy of the good, and so we must shun and ban anything that might be helpful until we spontaneously reach a utopian society where there are no problems at all.

Language requires repetition and prolonged attention to learn. Anki is good for sure but even with push notifications is not pushy enough to keep most people coming back to it on a consistent basis. Miss a day of Anki and now you're do

Bottom line is that management just doesn't want to hear anything negative, ever. They're not going to read it and if their lackeys read it the lackeys know better than to tell them about it and risk their own livelihoods. Better

Probably just that it's not as impressive as it appears because it didn't innovate. Which is of course irrelevant since the innovative leap here were the optimizations that let them make their model with an order of magnitude fewe

Fun game, would fit well on mobile. The mark mechanic might be the trickiest thing to translate over, maybe tap and hold to bring up a numpad sort of interface? I'd drop a couple bucks on it.

There are a couple of mechanics that can only be observed on a fully visible board (the death screen), such as the purple slime mage who is level 1 but is always surrounded by level 8 tiles or the basilisk that marks number tiles with a ? i
