Binance has this very uncanny ability to plausibly explain their way out of any hint of red flags. And they are still here. It's pretty remarkable.

Wonderful idea and well designed interface. Unfortunately failed quite spectacularly for the song I selected. I chose "Why Hide" by Mark Ronson and it somehow managed to pick the exact music I tend to dislike.

Had a few dropped calls in Teams over here this morning (South Africa), otherwise our devops stuff is currently fine.

Heh, The Register. Now there's a blast from the past. And I see their flair for snark is still in tact after all these years.

Sometimes I imagine an apocalyptic event wiping out humanity for a few million years, replaced by some new intelligent species after a while. When they find deposits of these things, would they be able to figure out what they were used for?

I hope people hoping this lawsuit succeeds will also accept any ruling favorable to Github.

This shouldn't even be necessary or even possible when it comes to science pretty much by definition. Either you are able to provide the means to have someone independently verify something or you aren't. It should end there.

I'm in the "too bad" camp. This is what happens when customers and companies gleefully buy into the idea of a walled garden. Because I can bet anything that there are iPhones and Macs on every desk at Coinbase.

Ahh, a fellow cynic. I was wondering exactly how she entered her presumably hand written notes from childhood into the GPT-3 playground. Did she just retype all of them? Did she hand pick certain passages? I ask because I have a feeling GPT

Iran and Wales are playing right now, Iran had a goal disallowed but the match summary records it as a goal (even though it correctly shows that the game is still 0-0) So minor bug.

Twitter pretty much passed it's first real test with flying colors since Elon took over. The world cup is on and the site didn't collapse. That is a huge win and while I don't believe Twitter will ever be profitable, I think

All that's missing is a 200 comment thread on some Microsoft/Facebook/Google tech from people who don't actually use Microsoft/Facebook/Google tech

He appears to have terrible interpersonal skills, but he gets shit done. If you can put up with it (I can't) you probably come out the other side feeling you accomplished something great. Slight parallels with Jobs.

I like the idea of a little home office (away from the main house) built from a single container, but not sure how feasible it is. Seems like a lot of work to get it looking good and functional.

Dead simple if you just focus on the ears. Every single fake image has poorly rendered ears, which makes perfect sense as the contouring would be hard to get right for an AI

>Musk expects subscriptions to make up to 50% of revenue I've seen a lot of people calculating how many subscriptions would be required to hit this number as of today, but they're all forgetting to factor in Apple's and&#x

My point is even if that 44 billion was pissed away Musk is never going to be destitute. The people that get hurt in this sort of thing aren't the rich and powerful.

Serious question about this Twitter sale and how people expect it to go. What does it really matter to Musk or the other investors if this thing fails spectacularly.

Nothing needs to replace Twitter, but I do think now would be the perfect time for someone to launch a competing service whereas that would have been foolhardy a few months ago. Nothing to do with the Musk takeover being seen as a negative

I actually like that Apple completely obliterates the fiction that people don't want a walled garden. It's such a minority as to be utterly irrelevant. These insane numbers prove it.
