I originally wrote from my iPad and I have a hard time using the touch keyboard. Here's my 2 cents: 1) Cheaper than Adwords, much much cheaper. The ads tend to be expensive when you first get an estimate from Facebook, but in practice, thi

"I think the value of the so called social graph for advertising is overestimated." I disagree, for certain businesses it is more beneficial then Adwords. I have had really good experiences with Facebook Ads.

It happens to the best of us. One good thing about rock bottom, there is usually nowhere else to go but up. And other times, just when you think you can't get any lower, you are hit with a truck. Unfortunately, I have gone through at least

Very cool. I wonder what Matz will work on directly for Heroku. I understand that he will continue to work on the language, but what new things can we expect to see from Heroku as a platform?

I am sure many marketers would agree with this post, however, Google is trying to reinvent themselves. They are essentially destroying their old brand to create a newer, more social, brand. There are many lessons to be learned here from Go

Agreed, also it is very easy since most of my friends are already in my GMail contacts. All I have to do is drag and drop.

I think calling it evolutionary is a guess, however, I do see a link between procrastination and being uncertain how to proceed. In my case, I am very determined when I have a sound plan and tend to procrastinate when parts of my plan are

One of the two books, Positioning or Immutable Laws of Marketing, also mentioned that the companies that have switched their positioning have destroyed their existing brand and recreated it in a different way. I think that Google and all th

I am really excited about their ad platform, but I question the high valuation. Is twitter profitable yet?

Ego is very important for drive and competition. I would rather have a team of huge egos who are calm, collected, and calculated. No ego = mental castration.

It depends on many things including the size of the debt and to whom. In the least, it will damage the reputation of the country, make it harder to borrow in the future, and hurt its relationships with other countries. What happens when a

Not sure if this is true, but I heard that Google takes ownership of any IT projects that you work on your spare time. If this is true, then I certainly wouldn't want to work for them. Is this true?

Set some goals: 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 3 years, 5, 10, lifetime. Sometimes goals don't go as expected, but they will guide you and give you direction.

There were some severe problems with our infrastructure team, I felt like I had no choice but to bypass them. I also felt that they should treat me as their client, much like I treated the business. It didn't go very well. :) Things go w

I've had a similar experience. While I had a good relationship with my team, other managers (that worked for my manager), and the business, I had a very poor relationship with the infrastructure team. If you have worked in an Enterprise, y

I think it will help with some of the spam since users will generally not +1 a spam site. It will also add an extra attribute (social) to the search algorithm.
