The basic 401(k)/403(b) rough equivalent in Canada is an RRSP. They also commonly have employer match sometimes. There are differences of course.

Another comment pointed to this web form: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38843556 It’s not a downloadable sheet , looks like, but it’s something.

Interesting! That doesn't really change the argument, does it? "Where am I right now", is a different requirement than "where have I been, roughly, over the last 6 mo"

Tracking animals would seem to be a different set of requirements than, say, turn-by-turn car navigation. I'd imagine that for a lot of research, longer lifetime would win over real-time ish data, and possible you don't care so mu

Agree induction is pretty great, although it limits cookware and still doesn't work for all techniques (blowtorch doesn't replace everything). And you are right that the 110V are underpowered. The ones I've used are less gr

> That might be a bit of propaganda Not really, there are a number of techniques that are harder (some not possible) on electric which has less control and high latency. But ... it only matters if you are going to use such techniques.

I suspect this problem is really dependent by city or even neighborhood. I think the real practical limit is the municipal supply design rather than the available units. A friend had a 5 burner unit in their house that visibly dropped out

GP's point was that it's not the number of pixels, but the power draw that matters here (for power consumption) and while there are more greens they are smaller and draw less. This design pattern happens because humans are more se

That makes sense that the use case in a shared home lot is different than out and about, but still doesn't obviously suggest payment routing over the charger - wouldn't monthly billing be better from the consumers point of view?

Honestly, it may not matter if companies don't want it. Consumers are going to demand it, and it may be necessary before EV's become ubiquitous, assuming they do. One thing that has helped their case in the US is that payments h

I've used the entropy analogy also. In particular, entropy always wins in the end. But I do think it weakens the "debt" analogy to consider it the same thing, because I like the idea that this is sometimes transactional - a
