The greatest risk vector for your free speech rights is to misunderstand them, falsely claim that they’re absolute and have your society collapse.

It wasn't a silly question, and it didn't dismiss the possibility of it being not enough. It's correct and reasonable to say that it's extremely unusual to need disk transfer speeds in excess of 100 Gbps in any standar

My understanding is that the macOS font renderer uses limited hinting for small pixel sizes. Of course retina displays mean most normal on-screen text is rendered at 16px or larger, so it's increasingly rare for hinting to matter.

I have the same impulse to want to virtualise my router. I’ve repeatedly agonised over this but keep coming back to the decision that as cool as it would be, so long as internet uptime matters, the router probably needs to be separate hardw

You might be being sarcastic, but you’re not wrong. If the POTUS commented on hacker news, they’d hit the media just as surely as any tweet.

The ESP32-S2 is best thought of as a spiritual successor to the ESP8266. If you need Bluetooth, I’m pretty sure the ESP32 is still being produced.

Because it’s simply too slow for dual core to be useful. Few people will bother investing programming resources to extract maximal benefit out of those dual cores when faster single cores are dirt cheap.

The ESP32 is a lot better in many ways, but it suffers a bit from version 2 syndrome. The decision to go dual-core in particular. Personally I'm looking forward to the ESP32-S2 coming in quantity.
