How is it spooky? We are talking about fences not ghosts.

It's not a always the case that people incur massive debt. A lot of students have scholarships that cover their fugitive fees and include a small stipend.

See Figure 2 in http://statweb.stanford.edu/~candes/papers/RobustPCA.pdf There's lots of work on background estimation. This is just one approach using nuclear norm minimisation.

Condiments? I doubt 1/2 a tablespoon of ketchup is causing the obesity crisis. "Soda" is the biggest problem that you mentioned.

Don't you need the same amount of training to be called a software engineer?

I'm confused. Does "off/on" refer to sleep state, whether the phone is powered on/off or does it mean making a call?

Standard style in scientific literature. Partly due to blind peer review (using the more general 'we' instead of 'I' to mask the identity/identities of the author).

CS:GO is definitely the biggest FPS in eSport right now. Unlike CoD and Halo, the player base has been steadily increasing.

It would use both it's own location based database and OCR for any local changes such as road works and variable speed limits.

This is also a problem in academia too. Very often I read papers that say that proofs are trivial, that we can easily get from one equation to another through algebra or that solving an equation is easy. It's something I try to avoid,

I entirely agree that we are both being robbed and that everyone's rates can be a lot lower. I was trying to offer some perspective. The geography and population size means that telecommunication costs will always be higher in Australi

I'm not making an argument. I'm just providing another perspective. I entirely agree that both situations need improving.

Here in Australia with the most mainstream ISP it costs $90/month for 200GB and a theoretical max speed of 24 Mbits/s via ADSL2 (I only get 10). By global standards you are not being robbed.

No software? So hard coded firmware like on CRTs? Personally I like having TV guide functionality, the ability to browse USB media and stream content from iView straight from my TV.

You asked why so I answered. I didn't state a position about whether it should be doing it or not.

Why? To confirm connectivity. Welcome to HN, where answering a question gets downvoted.

Where "computer science" = "computer architecture".

In the future maybe. Computing the depth maps in this simple case is not very costly because it only requires a relatively sparse amount of key points. To recreate the full scene geometry around a car while moving at 100kmph is a lot harder
