My quadcopter weighs 1.4kg fully loaded and is made from glass fibre arms and FR-4 (G10) centre plates. If I crash and land on an arm from 5m up then that arm will usually snap in half from the force of the impact. There's enough weigh

2. Is bullshit. Stapler thesis are totally acceptable. In fact many people think they are better than a traditional thesis since they are based on work that is of enough quality to already have been published in other venues.

I dislike the use of the word drone too. To me it means something that is autonomous. Most hobby quadcopters are not autonomous, although they could be with a sophisticated flight controller. So they can technically be autonomous but usuall

This is for a very narrow definition of maths. Also it's rare that a paper is completely comprehensive. Some proofs are usually defered to other papers.

You're probably not missing much in terms of publications related to your field of work. This mostly applies to active researches.

Because it can take over a year to go from submission to publication. Implementing this rule now would mean current articles under review would have to be withdrawn.

Why carry a keyboard? So you can touch type. You would have to be looking at the simulated keyboard to use it with this technology.

This is an abstraction on top of CUDA. It takes care of writing the low-level code for operations that you would otherwise have to write yourself like matrix multiplication.

Yes but they are limited by the manufacturer as to how much of that RAM they can occupy and it also seems to be limited to only onboard GPUs.

I'm really excited for shared RAM between GPU and CPU. At the moment GPU acceleration is limited by the meagre amount of VRAM on most desktop cards. I would love to be able to do GPU programming with a 32+GB RAM pool.

Yep. Things like using dictionary learning for skinning models is overkill. Not to mention its not practical for realtime applications like games. Might be useful for animators though or devs writing animating tools.

It's not any easier. You are just more used to Markdown and I'm assuming more practiced in it. I'm a lot faster in LaTeX than Markdown because I use LaTeX every day but only touch Markdown about once a month.

I am happy to be home at anytime if it means I get Fibre. As OP mentioned these technologies are only really suitable in specific cases such as in apartment buildings. In a suburban environment no one will ever see gigabit speeds.
