If it's not relevant than Apple had no reason to resize it. By resizing they indicate that the devices are more similar than they actually are. I don't even think a note that says the Samsung device is resized would be acceptable, they shou

If the designs are so similar - and I am one of the few who really thinks they are - then Apple would have no need to scale the Samsung device in order to highlight the similarities. There's no excusing this. Once was terrible, twice is jus

I was taking the unpopular stance that Apple had a leg to stand on in this case because Samsung products can be mistaken for Apple products at a glance. I still feel they are blatant copies. But now I have to agree with acangiano that this

That's right it's a platform independent representation. I think LLVM assembly is really low level, I'm pretty sure you want to generate IR. You should be able to link the math lib. py2llvm looks pretty interesting. http://code.google.com/

Instead of generating C code you might be able to generate LLVM IR and have it execute immediately, saved to disk, or both. I don't know how it will perform for you or how high level your generated C is though, it may not be realistic. Or u

I think talking about dollar amounts is a bit silly. What's the maximum acceptable dollar value for a lunch meeting, per person? $100? $200? $500? Further, what if those who pay for the lunch meetings feel that it was worth any price? How a

It depends a lot on the person or company I'm contacting and why I'm contacting them. When contacting support I'll usually try to make it friendly and a bit fun. I keep in mind there will be a person reading it who may frequently have to re

How so? Percentage of code? # of features? If you want to make claims like that then actually make them, don't just wave your hands. You're arguing over the degree of something which is just silly. Either both count or neither counts. Who c

I balked at it too, but then I really thought about it and I only care about this in a handful of apps so I just set each shortcut separately. I think I did iTerm2, Chrome, TextMate, and a few others. It's interesting (for me) that others a

I agree with you, but you have to admit Samsung is pretty clearly copying Apple's trade dress. It's the only tablet that could be confused with the iPad at a glance. Especially for non-geeks. If Apple weren't suing everyone else too they

I think updates are in the about windows because the Chrome team wanted to hide them. Normal users won't see or think about updates or version numbers if they're hidden in the about window, and that was their goal.

Yeah, not very exciting. Once you go down that road you pass by window['l' + 'ocation'] on the way to window['loc' + (''+![])[!![]+![]] + (''+!![])[-![]] + 'ion'] and so on. I would have completed it but it's 2:30 and I'm tired.

If I'm editing in Emacs I often use something else for project wide search. Even TextMate's find-in-project is better than using grep in emacs. I think a better grep mode could be written but it doesn't exist yet afaik.
