Agreed. Please, employers, disclose all policies and contracts at the time of the offer. And please, employees, ask about policies and contracts at the time of the offer.

I find it hard to ignore "time required to learn". If something I'm already familiar with is adequate for the job, I'm going to go with that. I already know all of the ins-and-outs and gotchas. Now, if there's a

I built something similar a while back that includes reports about what the browser is capable of. http://aboutbrowser.com/ You can also share links w/ your report, which is good for troubleshooting. http://

I'm working on a project/business that makes it easier to give your users an easy way to contact you using PGP-encrypted email/messages. If you like, send me an email, and I'll keep you updated. A launch is imminent.

We're drilling more than we can refine, so costs of the refined product are staying high. Also, gasoline prices always lag behind crude a bit. Refinement takes time.

I'm not saying that it's "take it or leave it". I'm saying that if you're unwilling to use a Google account for this, then (in all likelihood) it probably isn't the best product for you. The same way that

Unless I'm mistaken, there are a bunch of services like this (twitlonger, etc). Not that that's a reason to stop working on this, of course.

I don't have a strategy, because I don't have a straightforward goal. Define your goal before working on a strategy. "Making it into the inner circle" for me, would be more of a means than an end. What's the end?

My first piece of advice is to post a link whenever you're talking (even tangentially) about your project. Second, promote it within a community who needs it. Some ideas: Subreddits for large metro areas (or suburbs), Facebook groups.

I got a prescription at Americas Best and had to ask for my PD, but they gave it without any further hassle. Before visiting your eye doctor, ask if they are able to provide PD measurements with the prescription. IIRC, some will do it for

I met my wife about 6 years ago on OKCupid. From what I understand, the site has grown quite a bit and the audience has changed a bit. With that said though, my advice: Send lots of messages, and go on as many dates as possible.

My issue is more with DirecTV than the price of SundayTicket. I'm not going to go without Sunday Ticket as some sort of minuscule protest to DirecTV+NFL. When there's a non-DirecTV option, thats when I will vote with my walle

I use Feedbin. The web view is attractive but not decorated, and it has folders and keyboard shortcuts. It also can be used as a backend for Press, a newsreader for Android.

Can't find a seat at the bar? Hate doing laundry? Trouble finding a gift for someone? Have an hour free and wish you could sell that time for very-short-term work? Keep a journal of problems/obstacles you encounter every day.
