Right! I read that comment and was like “uhhhh what?” But not all engineering teams have the flexibility of moving to platforms that are not as battle-tested as Java/.NET.

Yeah, there is a lot of UX work that could be done to address this. For example, a "HTTPS green lock" equivalent for ongoing email conversations.

From the article: the email was spoofed to appear to be from the building company.

Apologies if it was mentioned in the article, but I am curious as to how the original attacker acquired the information needed for spear phishing. I suppose business dealings between the university and contractors is public to some extent

I love Firebase Hosting probably just as much as Netlify. Even more if you consider the various services besides hosting that Firebase offers. Thank you for making a great product! And if you're hiring, my email is in my profile :D

Love this. Isn't there also something for Android that presents a "safe" account when you type in a particular passcode? This regulation is clearly made by people who don't understand the technology and capabilities of t

This is neat! I was surprised to see that the main contribution here is parallel processing. For something like fuzzing, it seems like a very obvious optimization strategy. Hopefully time saved results in more bugs found :)

I'd love to hear more about how this differentiates from existing alternatives, namely Proton Native[1] and the NodeJS bindings to libui[2]. I am specifically interested to see how/if/when Microsoft will support Linux and mac

I see what you mean, but it just boils down to how you interpret the problem. Specifically, if you focus on the actual forwarding paths instead of the contact lists, the tree structure that enables the linear solution becomes more clear. As

A linear solution for this problem is possible under the assumptions that the graph is directed and acyclic. The directed nature of the graph in this particular example is very clear, and because an individual doesn’t forward a message more

I had this issue even starting from the first panel after the introduction, where the dog was sending a message to the bird. I kept having to scroll to the top to double check who was who.

That makes zero business sense and will never happen. It isn't Facebook's responsibility to teach people how to identify advertisements or posts trying to sway their opinion.

This is surprising to me as well. I have seen first-hand how tedious it can be to find reliable truck drivers, particularly in the Midwest. I am eager to see how this industry shifts in the next couple decades.

I think it is a little ridiculous that they expect us to entirely wipe our devices before they'll acknowledge that there might be an actual issue.

I haven't really noticed any problems with NFC, but I am curious if this is something where I could just walk into an Apple Store, explain my concern, and request a brand new device. Has anyone actually gone through this?

This looks pretty cool. Does Privacy have any services besides the browser plugins? That idea is similar to a couple past projects that didn't last, but this looks very promising regardless. Side note for Privacy's front-end peopl

Why is it the job of the tobacco seller to educate the public on the dangers of smoking? Why would they invest their money in such an anti-marketing campaign? Advertising with factually inaccurate information, of course, should be punishabl
