I want to be able to tell customers that my service is GDPR-compliant. (Plus I'd rather not pay fines!)

Thank you for those links! I was more concerned with Article 27 but that website also helped mediate my concerns with that. Much appreciated.

I was initially going to do it in TypeScript, as the clients that will be interacting with it are TypeScript. Can’t really go wrong either way, but yeah, I’ve enjoyed exploiting Rust’s type system!

I’m actually working on the same thing but in Rust. If you ever want to compare notes sometime, give me a shout out. I’m actually kind of glad the documentation found via google searches (save one collection of Medium articles) has been dis

As someone who participated in YC’s Startup School last year, I recall them not permitting use of the YC/Startup School logo on participating company websites. Has that changed for this cohort?

Also for consideration for those who use Firestore: Firegraph, enabling you to run GraphQL queries against your store [1]. Not as far along as this project though. I think this is actually pretty cool. I will probably give it a go next time

Well, it was theft by someone who was in a trusted position. That part is rather cut and dry.

I think the term "template" is a bit misleading; this is a fully functional project. You can rearrange views as necessary and wire them up to your own APIs, and you'll be good to go.

I was hoping to hear more discussion about performance. At the root of this seems to be a flexbox-esque implementation in Swift. Yoga, one such flexbox implementation written in C, has touted much better performance over UIKit for a while.

I’ve thought about doing this exact thing. I wish you the best of luck - I think there is a strong demand for a simple solution like this.

This is great! I like to think that React — or more generally, component-driven user interface design — is the future of development on all platforms, not just the web. It really seems like we have “peaked” with concepts like state manageme

It is a shame that Strava couldn't just hire the creator of Footpath. While the latter's creator correctly acknowledges how common this is in our industry, it does shine a negative light on Strava. I think one of the reason "

The website says "Featured on YCombinator" which might lead people to believe this was a YC funded project. Is it? If not, I believe there are rules against using their branding in that way. That said, this is a nice tool. I was g

Doesn’t work on iOS! Literally unplayable. Jokes aside this is pretty neat. I feel like the concept of the favicon should be re-evaluated to consider the common use cases of today.

Check my reply to this comment. The underscore idea was one of the first things to come to mind too, but I think having a specific file makes it clear to others who might not understand Zero internals.

I would propose adding support for a 'zeroignore' file to handle this. :)

Is there any way to "ignore" specific files or directories? For example, I want to reuse React components across different routes (exposed as jsx files). However, I don't want `mysite.com/components/Container` to be

It would be cool to see links from previous days/months/years point to an archived version of the link (if possible). If you go back a substantial amount of time, you end up hitting a lot of broken links.

Off-topic: this post, like other posts on the author's blog, is written in Markdown. But rendered inside <pre> tags. Seems a little odd considering the site also uses regular Serif fonts for the title / meta.
