That would make more sense. So it's actually much more sinister. The Dursley abode is symbolic of all that is bad with the modern world. Bitter people, living in a soulless landscape obsessed with meaningless possessions and social sta

Isn't the thing about startups that NO-ONE knows whether the startup is nice or need? I think the way investors pump money into a range of ideas/startups tells us that.

I'm partial to a good conspiracy theory and this one has it in spades... The circumstances of Kelly's death are very odd. And didn't Robin Cook (most prominent and influential opponent on the front bench) meet with an accide

It doesn't matter how many arguments there are. My point was that calling the function will mutate one of its arguments and in fact, in the example the returned value of the function is irrelevant because nothing is assigned to the ret

maybe I'm wrong but the last example of pureFunction mutates and returns one of its arguments. That's not a pure function.

I've been using ng2 for a few Ionic 2 Projects recently and its fantastic. Rxjs is an absolute must - it allows amazingly precise code to manage mutation. The way everything is a component is great. I can write a frontend app in a cou

The problem with England / Britain / UK is representation. Every time we make any big political decision 50% of the electorate is marginalised and ignored for 5 years. We need a better system, one where representation is proportio

My rule of thumb for budgeting is that a car is going to cost me about £1000 a year to keep and maintain. This includes road tax, insurance, tyres, brakes and servicing etc. This will average out over time.
