You get similar feedback when using mosh -- text that is echoed locally but has not yet reached the remote host is displayed with an underline. On a bad connection, you see underlined text promptly as you type, and the underline gradually

Several commenters are asking what mosh provides that's better than ssh+screen/tmux. A few years ago I spent a summer at a remote field site, sharing a flaky T1 with 100 other people over equally flaky site-wide wireless network.

Presumably due to the store's sandboxing requirements; the accessibility API grants a lot of power over running applications.

Indeed. A vulture's digestion is strong enough to kill anthrax and cholera -- an ecosystem service not provided by scavengers like dogs and rats.

I don't have the experience with nc or mc to draw a complete comparison, but for visual / multipane file navigation within a shell, I've had good luck with ranger [1]. [1]: http://ranger.nongnu.org/
