Pi is great so it's sad to see that it only gained momentum because some trash tool like openclaw uses it.

Those impressed by OpenClaw are non-technical people highly interested in trying to make sense out of Ai for their own profit. There is really no use case for OpenClaw if you got tech talent.

> People have been complaining about app subscription costs for years. There's that old complaint: "Why do I have to keep paying for software after I already paid $1000 for my iPhone?" That might actually become reality no

I can't shake of the feeling that Googles Deep Think Models are not really different models but just the old ones being run with higher number of parallel subagents, something you can do by yourself with their base model and opencode.

It also marks the end of the open source movement as the value of source code has lost any meaning with vibe coding and ai.

Besides that blog post obviously being written by AI, can someone here confirm how credible the hype about openclaw is? I'm already very proficient at using Claude Code anywhere, so what would i gain really with openclaw?

Somehow i want to ask what's the actual job of those former software engineers. Agents everywhere, on your local machine, in the pipeline, on the servers, and they are doing everything. Yes, the specs also.

That's not what i am seeing being played out at a big corp. In reality everyone gets thrown under the bus, no matter if c-level or pleb if they don't appear to know how to drive the ai metrics up. Just being a PM won't save y

It's insane that they concluded the builtin introspection skill for claude documentation should do a web search instead of simply packing the correct documentation in local files. I had the same experience like you, wasting tokens and

Epic, about 2/3 of all comments here are jokes. Not because the model is a joke - it's impressive. Not because HN turned to Reddit. It seems to me some of most brilliant minds in IT are just getting tired.

It was a fascinating symbiotic between nerdy med students from all over the world and an obscure open source flashcard app that originally targeted language learners. I've been part of that community for many years and would have never

You said "like that", ok but there may be some truth to reduced model intelligence. Also how AWS deployed Anthropic models for Amazons Kiro feel much dumber than those controlled entirely by Anthropic. Can't be just me

Anki had always the problem of being difficult to figure out how to use it effectively for learning. It's like C++. A million ways to shoot yourself in the foot if you use it wrong.

notebooklm is heavily biased to only use the sources i added and frame every task around them - even if it is nonsensical - so it is not that useful for novel research. it also tends to hallucinate when lots of data is involved.
