Bill Gates is no longer active in Microsoft acquisitions, also dont forget this was 42 years ago, when the market was tiny and Microsoft was a scrappy little startup dependent on software licensing to survive. Interesting, but not relevant

Exactly. Same with EOS, Iota, NEM and the other 1497 shitcoins. A themeforest logo, someone else's whitepaper through google translate to some language then back to english exported to PDF, pull some random linkedin profiles, a fiverr.

Agree. A380 economy is much better than any recent densified 777 (Eva air exception still 9 across), or 787 where airlines threw the Boeing design guidelines of 2/4/2 out the window and went for 3/3/3 (JAL exception).

I think its 20 on the way with some more options. regardless of the economics the a380 is best in class in economy for Joe public since the densification program of the 777 started some years ago - Qatar used to be great in 9 across - 10 su

Somewhat offtopic, but related - Any else remember Yahoo Messenger (new beta) being an evangelist for WPF in the mainstream? Which didn't pan out iirc, infact did any mainstream commercials apps, thus excluding internal LOBs launch, ev

I wasn't curl'ing and greping for 200... I think that was obvious. Things aren't working for a number of users, what's going on, if I found out here or twitter first then you've failed. At least tell me via your sta

I don't consider a non working status page trivial. Yes, if a SaaSs send me into a rage then there probably dozens of red flags already, yes I will work with clients to drop or replace such SaaS with one that can communicate, absolutel

This is why I make clients drop/replace SaaSs. When SaaS don't update status page, or in a transparent and prompt way, because it's not 100% outage it rages me, especially if the reports are found elsewhere - twitter/red

Microsoft and others enterprise selling vendors loved the end goal back in early 2000s - the universal API solved by middleware. That's why you had Biztalk and Biztalk consultants that made more than SAP consultants (think todays crazy

More interesting is how Facebook classifies these traits automatically? I can see someone specifying gardening as an interest but even one of those asswipes presumably have enough intelligence not to specify terrorism as a hobby

Maybe part of the plan, it's difficult to enforce hand luggage limitations at airports without adding extra checks, but if you exceed 10kg that overweight suitcase is going to make some drag on carpet. Small nudges, similarly how BA ca

I don't know the exact details, but everyone adopted the silly 100ml liquid max per bottle nonsense post 9/11?, but the rest of stuff such TSA approved laptop bags are not in practice or at least not known by the contracted staff

Yep same in most airports in SE Asia too. TSA made everyone's job harder, sorry I mean travel safer, by banning more than 100ml of liquid, so nowadays probably reluctant to adopt more TSA rules even if they are now somewhat logical.
