Honest question, but am I the only one who find really hard to read and follow quite big golang projects? Maybe is true that I can understand what is happening in every single line of code in my screen, what I found really hard is to underst

Well, I would argue that they are not so successful yet. I don't use them, nor any people around me do. We, eventually, will get there, but they are not my definition of a successful product yet...

What you are saying is true. However I am trying to understand who will be the big winner in the AI era. Google will survive for sure, the question is if they will be able to become as big as they are on the advertising business also in the

The point is that hardware companies are the one that will extract most of the value from AI. While Google will be a "mere" user or a swapable layer (in the field of data center). A little bit like the producers of mouses or monit

Yes, you are correct. MQTT is a network protocol. You build your infrastructure on top of it to support stuff like storage, retries, resiliency, etc... However, it does gives you some guarantee, namely that the message will oblige its QoS (

Thanks for the post! It was really a good read. In a similar position I would have tried MQTT that should handle quite well a great number of topics. Did you guys tried such protocol?

Sorry but nobody is forcing you to use sublime. If they started charging just for use they wouldn't need neither an excuse nor a justification. I really don't see your point. If you could explain further why you think sublime woul

I don't think this is Redis, this is something that fully supports the Redis protocol. I wouldn't be that much surprised if underneath use a custom implentation. Said so, arguably, RDB and AOF are not a concern of the user but of

Once I was building a small application, I didn't want to use a whole database such as postgres that is amazing but does require some maintenance, so I settled for using just Redis. It was fine but the lack of constrains and structure

I really don't think that I could code any faster of what I code in rust. Especially if you consider the overall quality of the work. In my humble opinion python give the impression to move fast, but when you need to maintain the code

What I find missing here and in aws lambda or google function is the notion of "state". I believe it would really be a game changer if we could open and maintain an open connection with a database.
