And still you are supposed to follow the rules. Even the one you don't like. Especially if you are a business. You could write a convincing argument for pretty much anything, that it is not the point.

I do actually work on quite low level code. My mistakes are neither millions of euros nor company ending scenario. Just a lot of complaints. I am not advocating for move early and break things fast. Not at all. But in my environment I find

Indeed it is a fine balance. However, what I am trying to convey is that the burder of explaining and testing the code, and why the code is needed, should be on who put it out first. If we are not brave and decisive when we decide to cut co

I find it very very true, however. The time necessary to understand why the fence was put up, it is usually greater than the time necessary to push down the fence, test the system, and put back up the fence if necessary.

I work in a kinda similar environment even if bigger. To manage runtime dependencies we use cvmfs. A read only distributed filesystems, kinda like a very specific NFS for software distribution. If that is never been a problem, cvmfs it is q

I just find amazing that the project is working with clojure 1.2.0 as dependency, Which is about 8 years old. Clojure hold a soft spot in my heart for emotional reason, but the engineering behind it is top notch. If any of you need motivati

It is kinda unfair to compare the time of writing a service in go and rust if your team already work with JavaScript. Go was designed to be extremely simple (simplicistic, if you want to be ugly with terms) while rust was designed with very
