Some sort of AT&T's policy. To enable tethering, it used to be a single MobilConfig installation until Apple required them to be signed on 3.1.2, presumably to enforce AT&T's policy, which also result in tethering being unusable out

"To add it to the address bar, type about:config into the address bar, search for keyword.url" Actually, it's much simpler than that: just right click on the search field and choose "Add a Keyword for this Search…".

Oddly, it use 100% of one of my i7 iMac core when running on Chrome (6.0.408.1). However, the animation play very smooth with only 1~2% CPU usage when running on Safari (4.0.5 6531.22.7). So I assume you're using Chrome? Edit: -webkit-anima

If you can read Japanese, the actual interview quoted in the Japanese source can be found at: http://builder.japan.zdnet.com/sp/epub2010/story/0,380010362... Here's the line in question, translated (note he's talking about _iPhone applica

It's true, but manga in Japan is not limited to 12-13 years old but very segmented throughout age groups. For example, anything labeled with "Seinen" (usually those published under magazine with title prefixed with "Young", e.g. Young Jump,

Tried the Steam client on my Mac, Steam.app itself is a bit buggy and quite a resource consuming. The UI feels sluggish even on my i7 iMac, too. For the game itself, Portal works nicely at native resolution at max settings with lower framer

Phoronix's source seems to be from the Telegraph.co.uk's article[1]. While I don't doubt Valve will release Steam for Linux, I'd wait for the slightly more official statement before declaring it's official. [1]: http://www.telegraph.co.

I live in Thailand and can confirm this. Both Justin.tv and Ustream.tv are inaccessible with at least two major ISPs. Heck, even Softpedia or AppSpot are also blocked. Ridiculous.

While I have not used it myself (my projects are either internal or rather write-heavy), I heard a lot of good things about Cache Machine[1] (which is used in Mozilla Addons) and Johnny Cache[2]. Both provides automatic caching and invalida

I never liked Transmit 3 for some reason and feel it doesn't worth $29.95 when I can do pretty much the same with Cyberduck for cheaper—free! But now I tried Transmit 4, and fall it love with it within 10 minutes. WebDAV is fast even on my

Well, like Arch Linux's Pacman and AUR? :) I found Pacman to be easy and simple--on the same level as APT, and when the binary package doesn't do what you want, packing your own package is really easy. http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/P

From my experience with Opera Mini in Windows Mobile (since it's still not available in App Store), Gmail just fallback to the Basic HTML mode. It's safe to assume most JavaScript-heavy web apps won't going to work at all.

Think of Opera Mini as an interactive image viewer. They interpret all JavaScript on the server side and sent result back to the client using OBML[1]. Or at least that's how it works on other device. [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ope
