It depends on what do you mean by "append", I guess. Append the search path (e.g. "try this one first"), then /path:$PYTHONPATH is correct. If you mean append the variable then your example is correct.

True, but then there's already a lot of alternative browsers in the App Store (just that all of them tries to replicate desktop browser UI, which doesn't translate to touch quite well) there's a chance Apple might let it pass...

Chrome OS or not asides, wow, I really love the UI presented in the new Google Search app. If they add some more browsing features (address bar, open in new tab), it would become a really great Mobile Safari alternative...

For me, netcat. I mostly use it for * Copying files across machines (`cat file| nc -l port` and `nc host port`) * Remote pasteboard (on OSX w/ pbcopy, `while true; do nc -l port| pbcopy; done`) Not a life changing, but I wish I know it earl

Without xargs: find . -iname '*.java' -exec cat {} + |wc -l But if you do that, why not just: find . -iname '*.java' -exec wc -l {} + Which will also print out output of wc -l for each files along with total lines.

The problem is that you have to keep that snippet forever if you ever use the hashbangs. That's why I'm saying it's not a future-proof solution. Not that few bytes matters, though.

The protocol is different but the connector looks almost identical though. You can even plug in Mini DisplayPort into Thunderbolt and it works.

However by using hashbang URLs, you have to keep that little snippet of JavaScript forever to maintain permalink even after the web has moved on to another solution. It's not a future-proof solution.

They have been enabling this feature for kana-kanji conversion in Japanese keyboard since when iPad was first introduced (iOS 3.2) and enabled it for iPhone in iOS 5.

1Password 3.8.7 seems to be compatible with Firefox 8 though. They're getting a lot better at keeping up with Firefox version lately (ever since they introduced Aurora and "maybe" Nightly support)

Apart from the direct hit, there's also indirect hit by suspension of NIDEC factories (which NIDEC itself supplies 80% of hard drive motors[1]) which has at least five factories located in the flooded area. [1]: http://seekingalpha.com/art

I thought 1Password 3.9 (the MAS version) was already using App Sandboxing and I don't feel limited at all. Dropbox syncing works fine like before and browser extensions works better than before (without all the ugly InputManager hacks). Ba

My first impression with ClojureQL was pretty bad, because it didn't do parameterized SQL in the first public release (which fortunately have changed since they released 1.0.) I know it was only a beta, but first impression is strong. I'm n

Dear author of Clojure library, please always put a Leiningen dependency string in your home page ([korma "0.2.0"] in this case). Apart from that, I like what I see, especially how it use c3p0 for connection pooling by default.

I don't get it. Is there anything wrong with SQLite being more popular than MongoDB (possibly except the fact that I don't expect to see MongoDB visible in the graph)?

Actually, Ruby used to follows the "unstable odd, stable even" versioning scheme but they seems to quit doing that since 1.9.1 (since both 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 are declared stable[1]) [1]: http://blade.nagaokaut.ac.jp/cgi-bin/scat.rb/ruby/ruby-

As I've said below[1], less margin on the edge will make more room for app title for the 2nd and 3rd icons. [1]: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3171496

App titles. You can have less margin on the edge since you don't have to considers the app title length from the other side.

I think it is a lot clearer if you compared the margin using 3GS screen sizes: iPhone 3GS screen resolution (480x320) iOS4 17+19+19+19+18px iOS5 17+19+20+19+17px iPhone 4 screen resolution (960x640) iOS4 34+38+38+

How did VMware Fusion 4 do it though? They just distributed the whole VM as a single .app, with all kexts loads/unload dynamically on launch.
